ADO Den Haag rejects Union Sint‑Gillies bid for defender Milan Hokke

🇳🇱

ADO Den Haag faces the possible loss of 22‑year‑old central defender Milan Hokke after Belgian top‑flight side Union Sint‑Gillies submitted a first bid. The Dutch club rejected the offer and is currently negotiating a contract extension to keep the player beyond the final year of his deal.

reported that Union Sint‑Gillies made an initial offer for Hokke. ADO Den Haag turned down the proposal, preferring to retain the defender and explore a longer‑term contract.

Hokke has indicated willingness to move to Brussels and is said to be close to a personal agreement with Union. The defender’s interest aligns with Union’s aim to strengthen its back line.

Hokke remains under contract with ADO Den Haag for only one more season. The club must decide whether to sell him this summer or risk a free transfer when his contract expires next year.

The central defender joined ADO Den Haag from Feyenoord’s youth academy in the summer of 2024. He quickly became a regular, featuring in 26 matches last season and contributing one goal and five assists.

Union has already attracted Nikki Havenaar, Nohim Chibani and Ondrej Kricfalusi as part of its defensive rebuild. The club also said goodbye to Christian Burgess while linking Kevin Mac Allister and Fedde Leysen with potential exits.
