Arsenal Near First Champions League, Secures 2029 Club World Cup Spot
Arsenal Football Club are one match away from securing their first UEFA Champions League title. A victory would also grant them a direct berth to the 2029 FIFA Club World Cup as Europe’s champion.
Paris Saint-Germain secured the same automatic slot after winning the competition in the previous season. Their triumph in 2023-24 gave them a guaranteed place at the 2029 Club World Cup regardless of their UEFA coefficient.
UEFA regulations state that the winners of the Champions League for the four editions spanning 2024-25 through 2027-28 receive a fixed slot at the 2029 Club World Cup. The allocation applies irrespective of the clubs’ positions in the association ranking.
Arsenal’s potential first European crown would therefore be the second such guaranteed qualification for a club from the 2024‑25 cycle. The English side entered the knockout stage after finishing second in the Premier League.
If Arsenal falls short, they will rely on their domestic league finish to qualify for the Club World Cup. The upcoming final therefore carries both trophy and tournament‑entry implications.
