Villarreal declines €7m purchase option on Alfon González

Alfon González will return to Sevilla FC after Villarreal CF announced they will not trigger the €7 million purchase option in his loan deal. The decision was communicated by the Castilian club following the winter‑window loan.

The winger joined Villarreal on loan from Sevilla in the January transfer window. The loan contract included a €7 million clause allowing Villarreal to sign him permanently.

Villarreal’s announcement means the option will expire without activation. Consequently, González’s registration reverts to Sevilla for the remainder of the season.

Sevilla FC will have the player available for selection ahead of upcoming fixtures. No further transfer activity involving González has been disclosed.
