Feyenoord eyes €6m sale of Zerrouki as Europe circles the Algerian

🇳🇱

Feyenoord is looking to part ways with 28‑year‑old Algerian midfielder Ramiz Zerrouki this summer, offering him to clubs across Europe and targeting a fee of about six million euros. The club’s management has linked the player cautiously with Serie A side Lazio while noting interest from clubs in Spain and France.

Zerrouki’s contract runs out next summer, and he has made clear he no longer feels at home at De Kuip. Speaking to at the end of last season he said, "It’s mainly about the overall picture. I never felt at home and comfortable there. It’s clear I won’t go further."

FC Twente still hopes to bring the midfielder back after his loan spell revived his form in Enschede. Erik ten Hag told Tubantia two weeks ago, "We are in conversation, but also consider that he may not come back. Therefore we are also working with alternatives. But it is clear that we want to keep him."

Feyenoord originally paid €7.2 million for Zerrouki in early 2023, and he has featured in 65 matches for the Stadionclub. The 55‑time Algerian international has never scored at De Kuip and has struggled to win over a portion of the supporters.

With his contract expiring next year and a €6 million price tag on the table, the midfielder’s departure appears likely, while clubs from Spain and France continue to monitor the situation.
