Heerenveen rejects Utrecht's Joris van Overeem bid

SC Heerenveen has refused a transfer request for Joris van Overeem to FC Utrecht.

Technical manager Johan Hansma confirmed the club declined a formal offer for the midfielder. Heerenveen’s stance remains firm despite Utrecht’s interest.

Van Overeem, 30, has been with Heerenveen since 2020 and made 102 league appearances. His contract runs until June 2025.

Hansma emphasized the club’s commitment to the player, stating Heerenveen values Van Overeem’s experience. The midfielder has scored 14 goals in 102 appearances for the Frisians.

FC Utrecht has now shifted focus to alternative targets following the rejected bid.
