Javier Tebas praises Enrique Riquelme's 35% vote in Real Madrid election
La Liga president Javier Tebas said the challenger Enrique Riquelme captured 35% of the votes in Real Madrid's presidential election. Tebas described the result as “not bad at all” despite Florentino Perez’s clear victory.
Tebas noted that Riquelme, a newcomer with a Mexican accent, had only 15 days to campaign. He suggested that a Spanish accent and a 40‑day campaign could have yielded an even higher vote share.
