De la Fuente names Gavi, Eric García and Joan Jordán to Spain squad
Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente named 26 players for the World Cup on Friday, including FC Barcelona trio Gavi, Eric García and Joan Jordán.
Fernando Redondo and Álex Baena were also included, while Real Madrid duo Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga missed out. Midfielder Bruno Méndez received his first call-up.
De la Fuente’s squad selection follows Fermín López’s injury withdrawal. The Barcelona midfielder was ruled out with a hamstring problem earlier this week.
