PSV defeats Ajax 3-0 to clinch Eredivisie Cup

PSV secured the Eredivisie Cup with a 3-0 victory over Ajax three weeks after winning the league title. The triumph marked the club's second consecutive Eredivisie Cup.

Chimera Ripa opened the scoring. Fenna Kalma and Sisca Folkertsma added the second and third goals.

PSV reached the final by beating FC Twente in the semi‑final. Ajax advanced after defeating Feyenoord.

PSV also won the previous edition of the Eredivisie Cup by defeating FC Twente on penalties. FC Twente had captured four of the six earlier editions. Ajax were the 2021 cup winners.

The Eredivisie Cup pits the league champion against the period winners as the Netherlands' second cup competition. Earlier this season FC Twente secured the KNVB Cup by beating PSV in the final.
