Karim Bachar Extends Contract as Belgium Futsal Coach

Karim Bachar will remain head coach of the Belgian national futsal team after signing a new deal until the end of 2029. The Belgian Football Association (KBVB) announced the extension in a press release on Friday morning.

Bachar, a 50‑year‑old Antwerp native, has led the futsal duivels since the start of 2020. His tenure includes overseeing the squad through multiple international campaigns.

The announcement highlighted that the agreement runs through 2029, providing continuity for the programme. KBVB confirmed the contract renewal was decided after evaluating the team's recent performances.

With the new contract in place, Bachar will guide Belgium into upcoming futsal qualifiers and tournaments. The extended term aims to stabilise the coaching setup ahead of future competitions.
