Manchester City confident Gvardiol will stay despite €90m bids
Manchester City remain confident Josko Gvardiol will sign a new contract despite interest from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
The club has set a minimum valuation of €90 million should they be forced to sell.
Director of football Hugo Viana has presented a lucrative long‑term contract offer to the Croatia international.
Incoming manager Enzo Maresca views Gvardiol as a cornerstone of his defensive plans for the 2026‑27 season.
Simon Bajkowski reported that City also intend to retain defender Ruben Dias throughout the transfer window.
Gvardiol has two years remaining on his current contract and is expected to discuss his future after the FIFA World Cup in North America.
Gvardiol indicated he is happy at Manchester City but will assess his options after the tournament.
City will enter talks with Viana and Maresca from a position of strength, refusing to sell below the €90 million valuation.
