Mexican fans swarm Ecuador hotel, vow to rob players of sleep

Hundreds of Mexican supporters gathered outside the hotel where the Ecuador national team is staying in Mexico City, intent on keeping the visitors awake ahead of their clash scheduled for Wednesday at 03:00 am. The fans plan to create continuous noise throughout the night.

The gathering took place outside the team's lodging, where supporters aimed to generate as much sound as possible. They employed whistles, bells and loudspeakers to amplify the disturbance.

From inside the hotel, members of the Ecuadorian squad observed the crowd assembling. The players watched as the Mexican fans filled the area surrounding the building.

The expectation is that the noise will persist through the entire night. The goal is to prevent the Ecuador players from obtaining any sleep before the early‑morning match.

The match between Mexico and Ecuador is set for Wednesday at 03:00 am, with Mexico City serving as the host city. The early kickoff means the teams will need to be ready before dawn.

If the disturbance proves effective, it could influence Ecuador's preparation and performance in the upcoming encounter. Both sides will have to manage the psychological impact of the night‑long fan pressure.
