NEC's transfer push stalls as clubs reject offers, says Aalbers

🇳🇱

Technical director Carlos Aalbers says NEC has personal agreements with several players for moves to Nijmegen, but club negotiations are stalling and causing daily frustration.

NEC has secured personal agreements with a number of players, yet the deals remain pending finalisation. The club hopes to convert these agreements into completed transfers soon.

Aalbers admits that talks with the clubs involved are not always smooth, creating frustration for the technical director. He notes that the difficulty is a recurring theme each season.

He explained that his goal is to add a new player every day despite the challenges.

The director observed that the process feels slower this year than in previous campaigns.

The comment reflects the strain of prolonged negotiations from early morning to late evening.

Aalbers stressed that persistence is essential to eventually secure the transfers.

Nevertheless, none of the personal agreements have turned into completed transfers because club approvals are still pending. Aalbers highlighted that one particular club has been in talks for weeks, yet every offer has been turned down.
