Roma, Atalanta and Bologna enter €20m race for Colombian midfielder
AS Roma are closely monitoring 2003‑born Colombian midfielder Gustavo Puerta of Racing Santander, with a reported €20 million valuation, as Atalanta, Bologna and Portuguese side Porto also join the pursuit, for the summer window.
Puerta has been making a name for himself with the Colombian national team thanks to high‑level performances, confirming qualities that have already attracted the interest of several European scouts in recent months.
The Giallorossi are not the only Italian side interested; Atalanta have entered the race, and Bologna have reportedly done the same, adding further competition among Serie A clubs.
Porto, the Portuguese club, remains keenly interested abroad, indicating that the transfer battle extends beyond Italy's borders.
Racing Santander have set a valuation of around €20 million for Puerta’s departure, a figure considered in line with the potential of the 2003‑born player.
The midfielder is appreciated for his dynamism, ball‑handling skills and ability to run into space, attributes that underpin the high valuation.
Roma continues to monitor the situation, aware that competition could intensify further in the coming weeks.
