Sweden thrash Tunisia as Gyokeres, Havertz score

Sweden opened their 2026 World Cup campaign with a 5-1 win over Tunisia.

Arsenal forward Viktor Gyokeres set up Alexander Isak's first‑half strike.

The Liverpool forward returned the favour by delivering the assist for Gyokeres' second‑half goal.

Sweden sit two points clear at the top of Group F after the Netherlands and Japan drew their opening match.

Germany responded with a 7-1 victory against debutants Curacao.

Kai Havertz converted a first‑half penalty and added a second‑half chipped goal.

Havertz now shares the tournament lead with America's Folarin Balogun and Sweden's Yasin Ayari.
