Guus Offerhaus joins FC Utrecht from Telstar

Guus Offerhaus will join FC Utrecht following Anthony Correia. The 25-year-old defender leaves Telstar after the club confirmed his transfer on Tuesday.

Offerhaus rejected interest from two other Eredivisie clubs to reunite with head coach Anthony Correia. The defender spent the 2023/24 season at Telstar under Correia’s management.

Correia, who joined FC Utrecht in June 2023, has now brought two players from his former club. Earlier this summer, midfielder Djenahro Nunumete completed his move to Utrecht.

The defender’s contract with Telstar expired at the end of last season. FC Utrecht announced the signing on their official channels without disclosing financial or length details.

Offerhaus made 32 appearances for Telstar across all competitions. His move strengthens Utrecht’s defensive options ahead of the new campaign.

FC Utrecht’s pre-season begins on July 8. The club opens its league campaign against SC Heerenveen on August 11.
