UC Bricquebec Cycling School Retains Departmental Crown
The UC Bricquebec cycling school from the Manche department secured the departmental championship in early May. The club confirmed the high standard of its training programme despite operating with limited resources.
The title was won in the departmental competition that pits clubs from across the Manche region against each other. UC Bricquebec emerged as the champion, reinforcing its reputation as a leading cycling academy in the area.
The club operates on a modest budget and with constrained equipment, yet it continues to develop competitive riders. These financial constraints have not hindered the quality of the athletes emerging from the programme.
Coaching staff focus on individualized development, ensuring that each cyclist receives tailored guidance. The emphasis on technique and endurance has been highlighted as a key factor behind recent successes.
Looking ahead, the club plans to compete in a series of upcoming races across the Nord-Cotentin area. The management expressed ambition to maintain the momentum built during the championship season.
The long‑term goal remains to sustain high performance while nurturing new talent. UC Bricquebec aims to keep its standing as a benchmark for cycling development in the region.
