Bologna and Vincenzo Italiano Part Ways After Coppa Italia Win
Bologna announced on Thursday that Vincenzo Italiano's contract was terminated by mutual agreement. The separation ends a two‑season spell that began in 2023.
Italiano stated that his tenure at Bologna was concluded after delivering excellent results. The club expressed gratitude for his passion and dedication.
Italian press linked Napoli's interest in hiring Italiano as head coach. Massimiliano Allegri was also mentioned as a possible successor to Maurizio Sarri at Napoli.
During his two years, Italiano oversaw 107 matches and recorded 46 victories. He guided Bologna to the Coppa Italia trophy in May 2025, beating Milan 1‑0 under manager Sergio Conceição.
Bologna said it will now commence a search for a new manager. The club aims to build on the recent success.
