Liverpool eye Bradley Barcola as potential Sadio Mane replacement
Liverpool are targeting Paris Saint‑Germain forward Bradley Barcola as a possible replacement for former Senegalese star Sadio Mane this summer. Barcola, 23, has attracted interest after delivering 13 goals and six assists this season, with a price tag near €100 million.
Sadio Mane left for Bayern Munich in 2022, creating a significant void in Liverpool's attack. Liverpool responded by signing Luis Diaz for £38 million in January that year.
Diaz recorded 41 goals and 23 assists in 148 appearances but never matched Mane's clinical edge. He also moved to Bayern Munich last summer, widening the gap further.
Instead of signing a new left‑winger, Liverpool gave minutes to 17‑year‑old Rio Ngumoha, while first‑choice left‑winger Cody Gakpo struggled with nine goals and six assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande has been linked with Liverpool, though he may replace Mohamed Salah rather than Mane. Barcola is reportedly frustrated by limited opportunities at the back‑to‑back Champions League winners Paris Saint‑Germain.
Barcola sits behind Ousmane Dembele, Kvhicha Kvaratskhalie and Desire Doue in PSG’s pecking order, playing 1,000 fewer minutes this season than last, yet still managed 13 goals and six assists. His 2024/25 season yielded 21 goals and 19 assists, showcasing world‑class potential.
