Stuart McCall predicts Scotland lineup for Morocco clash

Stuart McCall, 62, assistant to Paul Heckingbottom at Preston North End, said Scotland will need a point against Morocco in Boston on Friday.

McCall recalled scoring in Genoa on 16 June 1990 as Scotland beat Sweden 2-1, a win that remained their last World Cup finals victory until this weekend.

He enjoys following the tournament across the United States, Canada and Mexico, noting Elijah Just's brace for New Zealand in a 2-2 draw with Iran and Scotland's 1-0 win over Haiti.

McCall doubts Steve Clarke will switch to a back five, expects Ben Gannon-Doak to start, and predicts Lawrence Shankland will be dropped for either Ryan Christie or Kenny McLean, who could partner Lewis Ferguson while Scott McTominay moves into a number‑10 role.
