Goncalo Carvalho appointed UD Santarem head coach

Carvalho arrives from CD Fatima, where he served as manager for four consecutive seasons. His tenure at Fatima included a promotion to the Campeonato de Portugal. In the following campaign Carvalho guided Fatima to the promotion phase for Liga 3. The achievement marked a rapid progression for the club under his leadership. During the most recent season he helped Fatima retain its place in the fourth tier of Portuguese football. This stability was achieved despite a competitive environment.
