Bayern Munich Prepare €25m Offer for Marcus Rashford

Bayern Munich are preparing an opening offer of around €25 million for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. The German champions have held positive discussions with Rashford’s representatives. Manchester United are understood to value the player closer to €30 million, the amount Barcelona could have paid had they activated the purchase clause in his loan agreement. That clause expires on 15 June, leaving Rashford’s future uncertain. During his loan spell in Spain, Rashford recorded 14 goals and 14 assists, helping Barcelona retain LaLiga and win the Supercopa de España. Barcelona remain interested but would prefer another loan rather than a permanent deal this summer. United see a sale as a way to strengthen their transfer budget and reduce a significant wage bill, with Rashford having two years left on his contract. Both parties are reportedly open to a parting of ways if the right offer arrives. A move to Bayern would give Rashford Champions League football, elite facilities and a dressing room that includes Harry Kane. He would need to accept wage terms that fit Bayern’s structure and compete with Luis Diaz, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala for a starting place. If Bayern fail to reach an agreement, Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring the situation.
