Dylan Tait joins Dundee United after Falkirk contract ends

Midfielder Dylan Tait, 24, confirmed his transfer from Falkirk to Dundee United on the club’s YouTube channel, citing the move to a ‘massive club’ as the right step after his contract expired with the Falkirk side that finished one place above United in the Scottish Premiership.

Tait confirmed that his contract with Falkirk expired, opening the door for a move. He said there was interest in him from elsewhere.

"I had a good couple of seasons at Falkirk and enjoyed my time there," Dylan Tait said on Dundee United's YouTube channel. He added he could not speak too highly of Falkirk.

"I couldn't speak too highly of Falkirk; they have been amazing for me and I am buzzing to be at Dundee United," he said. He noted he had faced United several times last season.

"I am just looking forward to helping this team be successful," Tait said. He expressed confidence in contributing to Dundee United's ambitions.

Before joining Falkirk, Tait played for Raith Rovers, Hibernian, Kilmarnock, Arbroath and Hamilton Academical. This shows the breadth of his experience in Scottish football.

"For my age, I've got a lot of experiences, good and bad, and I think I can help the younger boys in this team especially," he added. He believes his background will benefit the squad.

"I already knew [right-back] Miller Thomson from Falkirk, so he kind of made me feel welcome and I already had a mate coming in, which always helps," Tait explained. The familiarity eased his transition to Dundee United.
