Hearts of Midlothian sign Sabri Guendouz, Vrancken pending

Heart of Midlothian have confirmed the arrival of French winger Sabri Guendouz from Beerschot on a contract running to 2029, with the transfer generating a €1 million payment for the Belgian side. The club’s new manager, Wouter Vrancken, has yet to be formally introduced.

Hearts of Midlothian are preparing for a new era under Vrancken, who is expected to steer the club toward Champions League qualification. The Scottish side finished near the top of the league a few weeks ago, narrowly missing the title.

The club’s transfer activity already includes the addition of Tim Smolders to the coaching staff. Smolders previously served as assistant to Karel Geraerts at Union, Schalke 04 and Reims.

Cederique Tulleners also joins the Hearts staff, bringing experience from his role as coach of the Cercle de Brugge U23 side. His appointment complements the incoming tactical expertise.

Sabri Guendouz, a 26‑year‑old French winger, arrives from Beerschot on a deal until 2029. The player contributed three goals and seven assists this season, operating from the left flank.

The transfer fee remains undisclosed, though reports indicate the operation yields a €1 million sum for Beerschot. Hearts announced the signing via their official channels, welcoming Guendouz to Gorgie.

With Vrancken’s appointment pending and new staff in place, Hearts aim to strengthen their squad for the upcoming Champions League qualifying rounds. The club’s strategy reflects an ambition to build on recent domestic performance.
