Liverpool Lead Hunt for Trincao and Diomande

Liverpool are currently the club closest to securing Sporting CP winger Francisco Trincao and are also pursuing RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. Trincao recorded 13 goals and 18 assists for Sporting CP in the 2025/26 season, earning a second consecutive Primeira Liga Team of the Season place. Liverpool are considering activating his €60m (£52m) release clause. His earlier spell in England with Wolves did not fully ignite. Uncertainty surrounds Cody Gakpo’s future and Federico Chiesa’s playing time, prompting manager Andoni Iraola to explore multiple wide‑area options. Diomande is valued at around £120m by RB Leipzig, making him one of Liverpool’s most expensive targets. Liverpool are said to be best placed to agree personal terms despite strong competition. Adding both Trincao and Diomande would boost competition across the forward line. It would also give Iraola greater tactical flexibility for the upcoming season.
