Nottingham Forest set £125m price for Elliot Anderson

Nottingham Forest are demanding a fee exceeding £125 million for midfielder Elliot Anderson, rejecting Manchester City’s verbal offer of £106 million upfront. Manchester City’s proposal includes add‑ons that could push the total above £120 million, but Forest insist on a guaranteed sum that surpasses the amount Liverpool paid Newcastle United for Alexander Isak last summer. A bid earlier in the window was also turned down, and Manchester United are said to be uninterested in a bidding war at those levels. Anderson featured in all 38 Premier League matches in the 2025/26 season, scoring four goals and providing four assists. He is a home‑grown 23‑year‑old under contract for three more years, and has earned a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad wearing the No 8 shirt. Vitor Pereira describes him as one of the most influential players in his squad. While Forest argue the £125 million asking price reflects Anderson’s potential, the valuation exceeds recent Premier League precedents and appears detached from market reality.
