Tottenham blocks Manchester City’s bid for Pedro Porro

Tottenham Hotspur have told Manchester City that full‑back Pedro Porro will not be sold this summer. Manager Roberto De Zerbi described the Spaniard as non‑transferable. The club secured Premier League safety on the final day of the 2025/26 campaign, with De Zerbi arriving in the final weeks of the season. Tottenham’s board and new executive structure have set a minimum £50 million fee for any Porro deal. Transfer‑market insider Fabrizio Romano reported that De Zerbi views Porro as crucial and that the North London side does not want him to leave. Manchester City initiated contact through intermediaries to bring the 26‑year‑old Spaniard back, targeting the right‑back role that currently backs Matheus Nunes. City’s board is also handling a £121 million proposal for Elliot Anderson that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis rejected. Director Hugo Viana must balance the budget while keeping other priority positions in mind. With the Porro move unlikely, City may shift focus to younger right‑back prospects such as Marco Palestra. The Etihad’s recruiting staff are also exploring wide‑attacking options, while Tottenham are reportedly interested in Brazilian winger Savinho, valued at around £60 million.
