Ajax face FK Vojvodina or Ferencváros in Conference League second qualifying round
Ajax will face FK Vojvodina from Serbia or Ferencváros from Hungary in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League. The draw took place in Nyon, Switzerland. The Dutch club is guaranteed a tie against one of the two opponents after progressing past the first round. Both FK Vojvodina and Ferencváros also advanced through their respective first qualifying rounds.
The second qualifying round draw was conducted by UEFA in Nyon on Tuesday. Ajax’s opponent will be determined by a random selection process. The club has already secured a place in the next stage following a 6-0 aggregate win over Latvian side Riga FC in the first round.
FK Vojvodina finished third in the 2023–24 Serbian SuperLiga, securing their spot in European competition through domestic league performance. Ferencváros, the 2023–24 Nemzeti Bajnokság I champions, entered the Conference League via their league title. Both clubs have prior experience in UEFA competitions, adding competitive context to the potential opponents.
Ajax’s path to the group stage continues with this second qualifying round tie. The winner advances to the third qualifying round, with further rounds to follow if successful. The Dutch side remains in contention for a place in the Europa Conference League group stage.
