Albion Rrahmani’s move to Venezia finalised for €9.5m total fee
Venezia have completed the signing of Kosovo international striker Albion Rrahmani from Sparta Prague for a total fee of €9.5m.
The 26-year-old forward, whose birthday falls next month, arrives with a reported €7.5m base transfer fee and an additional €2m in potential add-ons. Sparta Prague will also retain a 10 per cent sell-on clause on any future transfer involving Rrahmani.
Rrahmani joined Sparta Prague two years ago from Rapid 1923 for €5m and has since made 49 competitive appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing four assists. His output last season included four goals in 13 Conference League matches.
The Kosovo international has accumulated seven goals and one assist in 25 senior international caps, with his debut for the national team coming in September 2023.
Venezia secured promotion to Serie A last season after winning the Serie B title, ending a one-year absence from Italy’s top flight. Giovanni Stroppa remains in charge as the club prepares for their return to the top division.
For Venezia, the capture of Rrahmani represents a strategic step as they aim to strengthen their attacking options in Serie A. The club’s promotion under Stroppa has set the stage for a competitive campaign in the top tier.
Sparta Prague will receive €7.5m upfront, with the potential to earn an additional €2m based on performance milestones. The Czech club also retains a 10 per cent future sell-on percentage, adding long-term value to the deal.
Rrahmani’s arrival gives Venezia a proven goal threat with experience in European competition. His record at Sparta Prague, including his Conference League contributions, aligns with the club’s ambition to establish themselves in Serie A.
The striker’s international profile, with seven goals in 25 caps for Kosovo, further enhances his appeal as a focal point in Venezia’s attacking plans.
With the transfer now finalised, Rrahmani is expected to integrate into Venezia’s squad ahead of their Serie A return. The club’s leadership will be keen to see the forward deliver on the pitch as they target a stable top-flight campaign.
