AS Roma eye Lamine Camara As Manu Koné replacement

AS Roma are monitoring 22‑year‑old Lamine Camara of AS Monaco as a potential replacement for midfielder Manu Koné. The Italian club’s scouting report, cited by Leggo, indicates a focus on securing a top‑midfield option should Koné depart. The club is also reviewing other French midfielders. Roma’s transfer strategy centres on options in France, according to the Leggo report. The Giallorossi have already begun assessing several French candidates. The club, often referred to as the Giallorossi, has made inquiries about multiple midfield prospects. Among the names examined is Lille’s Bouaddi, who has impressed at the World Cup with Morocco. Bouaddi currently plays for Lille in Ligue 1. However, the club’s price tag and competition for his signature are described as prohibitive. A more viable alternative identified by Roma is Lamine Camara. Camara, 22, is currently on Monaco’s roster. Monaco is reportedly asking around €40 million for the midfielder. The possibility of acquiring Florian Freuler on a free transfer has been ruled out. Roma confirmed that a free move for Freuler is not available. Thus, the Italian side must pursue a paid option for any midfield reinforcement.
