Barcelona aim to renew Ferran Torres contract
Barcelona say they are confident a new deal can be reached with 26‑year‑old forward Ferran Torres despite interest from clubs across Europe. The forward’s contract expires in 2027, making the upcoming negotiations crucial for the club’s planning.
Torres is the only senior Barcelona player whose contract runs out in 2027 and whose renewal has not yet been finalised. He finished the 2025/26 season with 21 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions and shared the La Liga top‑Spanish‑scorer honour with Lamine Yamal on 16 league goals.
His versatility lets him operate anywhere across the front line, although Hansi Flick prefers to use him as a striker. Inside the dressing‑room he is described as a positive presence, maintaining strong relationships with Pedri, Dani Olmo and Eric Garcia.
