Barcelona not prioritising Bernardo Silva transfer

Barcelona are not treating Bernardo Silva as a priority target this summer despite ongoing speculation about his future. The Catalan club remains relaxed about the situation and is not accelerating any move for the 31-year-old Portuguese midfielder. Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move to Camp Nou, Real Madrid, and Atletico Madrid in recent days. However, Barcelona’s position is far less urgent than the transfer rumours suggest. The report indicates the initiative has largely come from the player’s side, with Silva making himself available after leaving Manchester City. Despite his quality, Barcelona view Bernardo Silva as a market opportunity rather than a must-sign player. Club sources state he has never been a leading option on their transfer shortlist, explaining the calm surrounding the situation. The midfielder has confirmed he is under no pressure to decide his future and will join the club that shows the strongest desire to sign him. Barcelona are focusing efforts elsewhere, with midfield reinforcement not currently their most urgent need. Resources are being directed towards positions deemed more critical for the project heading into the new season. The Portuguese’s free-agent status makes him an attractive low-risk option should circumstances change later in the summer. The Blaugrana have not closed the door on Silva but are unwilling to alter their transfer strategy for a high-profile arrival.
