Beerschot close to signing Sem Audoor after 16 years at Club Brugge
Sem Audoor, the 22‑year‑old left‑back, is on the verge of joining Beerschot after remaining a free agent since the summer when his contract with Club Brugge expired. The former Club Brugge youth product spent sixteen years in the blue‑black academy, beginning in 2009.
Audoor has been without a club since the summer because Club Brugge chose not to renew his contract. He joined the Club Brugge youth system in 2009 and remained there for sixteen years. The left‑back is 22 years old.
He never secured a place in Club Brugge’s senior squad, instead featuring for Club NXT in the Challenger Pro League. Audoor made his professional debut in September 2022 against RSCA Futures. His appearances were primarily with the reserve side.
During his time at Club NXT he tallied six goals and six assists, establishing himself as a regular contributor. Club Brugge announced his departure earlier this month through official channels. The club highlighted his long‑standing role in their youth development.
Beerschot, the Kielse club also called the Mannekes, missed promotion to the Jupiler Pro League and are now rebuilding with young Belgian talent. They view Audoor as a player with development potential and immediate value. He is expected to be presented soon, marking his first move away from Club Brugge.
