Bernardo Silva doubts Barcelona move after Portugal win
Free agent midfielder Bernardo Silva has said he has not yet decided on his next club, leaving Barcelona surprised.
His comments came after Portugal’s friendly victory over Chile.
Barcelona had reportedly reached a broad agreement with Silva and were working on the financial conditions needed for a move.
A two‑year agreement had already been discussed between the player and the club, according to reports.
Silva’s agent Jorge Mendes conveyed his willingness to join, and coach Hansi Flick had approved the possibility.
Silva told reporters after Portugal’s friendly victory over Chile that “Barça is an option I have, but I haven’t made a decision yet.”
He added he will look for a team that wants him.
The statement suggests Silva is still weighing options, including a potential move to Atletico Madrid, before committing to any destination.
