Cristiano Ronaldo tops post-30 international scoring list
Cristiano Ronaldo tops the list of international scorers after the age of 30 with 91 goals. The Al-Nassr forward leads the ranking, while Lionel Messi trails with 59 and Ali Daei occupies second place with 63.
Ronaldo also holds the world record for official appearances (228) and total international goals (143). Transfermarkt records show he has netted 91 goals after turning 30, compared with 52 before that age. A Bola highlighted the contrast between his post-30 output and earlier career.
The top-15 post-30 scorers feature Ali Daei (Iran) with 63, Sunil Chhetri (India) with 52, Olivier Giroud (France) with 36, Jan Koller (Czech Republic) with 34 and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Sweden) with 34. Chhetri ranks fourth on the list.
Robert Lewandowski (Poland), Romário (Brazil), Didier Drogba (Ivory Coast), Miroslav Klose (Germany), Tim Cahill (Australia), Mehdi Taremi (Iran), Eran Zahavi (Israel) and Edin Dzeko (Bosnia) also rank among the leaders. Messi does not rank second, having been overtaken by Daei.
