Dumfries' family and friends praise his fourth Oranje tournament call-up

Denzel Dumfries has been named in his fourth Oranje squad, prompting pride from his inner circle. His sister Demelza Dumfries, conditietrainer Errol Esajas and best friend Daniel Esajas shared their reactions with VoetbalPrimeur.

"It’s sometimes quite surreal, but I’m very proud. It’s very special to be called up every time and now to have the honour of going again," Demelza Dumfries said. "It’s fantastic. When you see where he started and where he is now, I think it’s really amazing how he’s done it," Errol Esajas added.

Dumfries has been a regular for Oranje for years. "I’m incredibly proud. These are beautiful tournaments to be part of. He’s quite relaxed. Whether it’s tense or not, he stays the same cool Dumfries," Daniel Esajas said.

The 74-time Oranje international continues to feature prominently in the national team set-up. His latest call-up comes as he prepares for another major tournament with the Netherlands.
