Evan Ferguson leaves Roma after ankle surgery
Evan Ferguson has said goodbye to Roma in an Instagram video.
The Irish striker arrived in the capital from Brighton last summer on loan with an option to buy.
He confirmed he will not be signed by the Giallorossi and will return to England.
In the video he thanked the Roma fans and his former teammates, saying injuries are part of the game.
He added a message of gratitude to everyone at Roma and wished the club and teammates all the best.
During his spell he scored five goals in 22 appearances.
Ankle injuries kept him out after the Europa League match against Stuttgart.
In March repeated ankle relapses led Roma and Brighton medical staff to decide on permanent surgery, ending his season early.
