Jessica Torny leaves Feyenoord women after 3½ years

Feyenoord women's side and head coach Jessica Torny have mutually agreed to part ways, ending a three‑and‑a‑half‑year tenure that began in December 2022. The 45‑year‑old coach had a contract running until the end of next season. During her spell, Feyenoord women secured a third‑place league finish, qualifying for European competition for the first time in club history. It marked the first time the club qualified for Europe at any level.

Torny arrived at Feyenoord in December 2022 after guiding the Netherlands U19 women's team to the World Cup semi‑finals. Her appointment was seen as a step forward for the club's ambitions in women's football.

In the most recent campaign, the Rotterdammers finished third in the domestic league, a historic high that secured a place in European competition. It marked the first time the club qualified for Europe at any level.

Reflecting on her time, Jessica Torny said, “We have taken great steps with the team, the highlight being qualification for European football. After three and a half years I close this chapter, I trust the future and thank everyone for the collaboration.” She expressed confidence in the direction the club will take.

Torny’s contract was originally set to run until the end of the next season, but the parties agreed to terminate it early. The decision was reached by mutual consent without public dispute.

Feyenoord have not yet announced who will replace Torny as head coach of the women’s side. The club indicated that the search for a new manager will begin promptly.
