Juventus target Lucas Chevalier as PSG keeper options shift
Juventus have opened enquiries with Paris Saint-Germain about goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier as an alternative to their primary target Emiliano Martinez. The 24‑year‑old French international has lost his starting place at PSG after Safonov’s rise.
Despite the setback, Chevalier is still regarded as a goalkeeper with genuine quality and significant potential. Besiktas are reported to be interested in signing Chevalier for coach Vincenzo Italiano’s first season in Turkey.
Emiliano Martinez remains Spalletti’s first‑choice goalkeeper at Juventus. Aston Villa’s valuation of roughly €40 million and Martinez’s salary demand of about €7 million per season strain Juventus’s wage ceiling, complicating the deal. Vicario, previously a fallback option, now appears set to stay in the Premier League.
Juventus’s ongoing dialogue with Paris Saint-Germain over Randal Kolo Muani could open a broader negotiation that includes Chevalier. Earlier, Emiliano Martinez celebrated a Premier League victory for Aston Villa against Tottenham Hotspur on 19 October 2025.
