Leandro Trossard scores as Belgium beat Tunisia

🇧🇪
Leandro Trossard opened the scoring as Belgium defeated Tunisia 5-0 in their final pre‑World Cup friendly on Saturday. The match served as Belgium's last preparation before the World Cup. Tunisia were reduced to ten men during the game. Trossard missed Belgium's first friendly after playing in the Champions League final, but returned to the lineup on Saturday. He netted in the 28th minute with a one‑touch finish after a mazy run by Jeremy Doku. He became the third Arsenal forward to open the scoring for his country this week, following Kai Havertz and Viktor Gyokeres. Belgium maintained their 13‑game unbeaten run across Nations League matches, friendlies and World Cup qualifiers. They added four more goals after Trossard's strike, ending the match 5‑0. The team will face Egypt on June 15, Iran on June 21 and New Zealand on June 27 in the World Cup group stage. At 31, Trossard has featured in all but one of Belgium's World Cup qualifiers, playing across the wings and as a centre‑forward. His versatility suggests he will be heavily involved once the tournament begins later this month. Emmanuele Ciancaglini captured the decisive moments for Getty Images, while Dan Mullan provided additional coverage.
