Liverpool Near Deal for Yan Diomande as Romano Updates Jones
Liverpool are reported to be close to securing 19‑year‑old winger Yan Diomande, while transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Curtis Jones and interest from Inter Milan.
Diomande, currently at RB Leipzig, views Liverpool as an ideal destination for his development and has expressed enthusiasm for a Premier League move. Paris Saint‑Germain is also cited as having serious interest in the Ivory Coast international.
RB Leipzig have raised Diomande’s valuation to around £120 million, up from an earlier estimate of £86 million, and expect a substantial fee to release the player. The German club would prefer to retain the teenager for another season if possible.
Fabrizio Romano says Liverpool cleared space for Yan Diomande
Romano said Inter Milan are starting around €20 million for Curtis Jones, while Liverpool seek more than €30 million, potentially including a sell‑on clause and bonuses. Jones is keen on the move and Chiesa reported that Jones asked him how life is in Italy. Liverpool’s summer rebuild targets elite young talent like Diomande amid a period of squad transition, and a potential sale of Jones could help fund further acquisitions.
