Manchester City target Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson

Manchester City are reported to be planning a double signing of Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest this summer. The proposed midfield acquisitions aim to rebuild the engine room for the new campaign. Sporting Director Hugo Viana is said to be coordinating the pursuit alongside incoming manager Enzo Maresca. Maresca, appointed after Pep Guardiola’s departure, is expected to shape the squad for the post‑Guardiola era. The club’s urgency follows exits of Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Ilkay Gundogan, leaving creative and physical voids in midfield. Manchester City’s ambition to reclaim the Premier League title from Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal adds pressure to the recruitment drive. Rayan Cherki remains among the creative talents the side wishes to complement. The combined fee for the Nottingham Forest duo could exceed £180 million, with Anderson alone valued around £110 million. Phil Foden is cited as a player with whom Gibbs‑White could rotate in Maresca’s anticipated fluid attacking shapes. City are also assessing defensive cover and wide‑forward options, including interest in Savinho, who is attracting £60 million interest from Tottenham. The broader recruitment plan reportedly targets up to five signings this summer.
