Manu Kone warns of heat ahead of World Cup
Manu Kone, a midfielder for Roma in Serie A, says the heat in the United States is a concern as France prepares for the World Cup. He told reporters that training has taken place in the hot conditions for several days.
He explained that the French staff has introduced a protocol with very cold drinks, water breaks and constant hydration monitoring. The staff monitors hydration constantly.
Kone added that his experience with warm weather in Italy will help him adapt, noting he has played matches at midday for Roma. He said France will face Senegal in their opening World Cup match and expects a tough contest.
He praised Kylian Mbappe, calling the striker a champion who thrives under pressure. Kone expressed confidence that Mbappe, as captain, will deliver strong performances.
