Marseille’s Aubameyang priced to leave for €1.5m this summer

Olympique de Marseille have placed a €1.5 million price tag on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as part of a summer clearout. The Gabon international scored 14 goals and made 10 assists in 41 appearances last season.

The Ligue 1 club must balance their books after failing to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Marseille have identified Aubameyang as a priority player to offload due to his high salary.

There is no question of a contract termination, according to L’Équipe, but a low valuation has been set. A report from La Provence states he is available for just €1.5 million.

Significant interest has emerged from Turkey, with Trabzonspor, Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, and Çorum all linked. LAFC are also interested but must first sell a player before proceeding.

Aubameyang, 37, remains a key member of Marseille’s first team despite the club’s financial push to reduce wages. His 2023-24 season included 14 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.

The Gabon forward joined Marseille in July 2023 after spells at Arsenal, Chelsea, and Barcelona. His contract situation is now under scrutiny as OM seek to streamline their squad.
