Morgan Rogers Linked with Arsenal as World Cup Looms
Morgan Rogers, 23, is being monitored by Arsenal as a potential summer signing. Aston Villa value the midfielder at around £100 million. Rogers will travel to the World Cup as part of England’s squad.
Rogers told the Rest is Football podcast that most of the attention surrounding him is noise. He said he must ignore the chatter and concentrate on his performances.
The midfielder’s ability to operate between the lines and carry the ball under pressure matches the profile Arsenal seek. Mikel Arteta’s side have previously looked for versatile attacking midfielders who can add physical drive.
Aston Villa consider Rogers one of their most valuable assets, meaning any buyer must meet the club’s price. A sale would ease financial pressure but would also remove a key player from their lineup.
Thomas Tuchel has selected Rogers for 12 of England’s 13 recent matches, putting him in contention for the No 10 role alongside Jude Bellingham. Rogers said he would welcome the chance to play with Bellingham and other England stars.
