Nacho Ferri close to €9m move from Westerlo to Feyenoord
Spanish striker Nacho Ferri is poised to leave KVC Westerlo for Feyenoord, with a €9 million deal in advanced talks as Westerlo’s board travelled to Rotterdam on Wednesday. A personal agreement has already been reached, though contract details remain under discussion.
Interest has also been reported for Arthur Piedfort, pursued by AJ Auxerre, and for Bryan Reynolds, targeted by Stade Rennais, suggesting a busy summer for KVC Westerlo.
Ferri, a 1.92‑metre tall forward, arrived at Westerlo in the summer of 2025 after the club bought him from German Frankfurt for €1.5 million. He previously spent time on loan at KV Kortrijk, giving him prior experience of Belgian football.
Last season Ferri featured in 37 matches for Westerlo, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists across all competitions.
According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Westerlo board travelled to Rotterdam on Wednesday to discuss the transfer, after weeks of negotiations and with a personal accord already on the table. Transfer experts note a remaining gap of roughly €1 million between the clubs.
The proposed fee stands at around €9 million, though one side may need to concede further, likely Westerlo, to close the gap. The Kemphanen would therefore secure a significant profit from the deal.
Feyenoord view Ferri as an extra attacking option with growth potential and aim to finalize the transfer in the coming days so he can join the squad’s preparation for the new season.
