Nico Paz Unlikely to Return to Real Madrid This Summer
Nico Paz is now considered unlikely to return to Real Madrid ahead of this summer, according to an update from Rodra on Inaki Angulo’s YouTube channel. The Argentine midfielder had been viewed as a straightforward buy‑back at €9 million.
His performances in Serie A with Como under Cesc Fabregas exceeded expectations. The belief at Valdebebas was that he was ready for the next step.
Real Madrid’s first‑team midfield already features Jude Bellingham as a key attacking figure. Arda Guler is also expected to receive a prominent role. The club’s pursuit of Enzo Fernandez adds further competition for the positions Paz naturally occupies.
Remaining at Como for another season would give Paz consistent starts under Fabregas. Such regular minutes could be more valuable than fighting for limited opportunities at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Real Madrid’s recent success with young players has come from careful planning rather than early returns. Decision‑makers are focused on creating a clear pathway before finalising any move for Paz. A photo by Jay Biggerstaff and another by Marco M. Mantovani illustrate the discussion.
