Rick Kruys rules out club contact after FC Volendam exit

Rick Kruys has ruled out taking calls from interested clubs following his departure from FC Volendam. The 41-year-old coach left the club by mutual consent after their relegation last weekend.

FC Volendam’s relegation from the Eredivisie was confirmed on April 21. Kruys’s exit followed shortly after, with both parties agreeing to part ways. The club finished 16th in the 2023-24 season.

Kruys, who joined Volendam in June 2022, managed 85 matches in all competitions. His tenure included a 12th-place finish in the 2022-23 season before this year’s relegation.

The club confirmed no new managerial appointment has been made. Volendam will focus on preparations for the Eerste Divisie campaign.

Kruys has not commented publicly on potential future roles. His next career move remains undecided.
