PSG bid for Leipzig's Yan Diomande after Liverpool offer

Paris Saint‑Germain are set to launch a bid for 19‑year‑old Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande after Liverpool’s €100 million offer was turned down by RB Leipzig, which values the teenager at more than €120 million and has him contracted until 2030, and will likely spark a bidding war.

Diomande arrived at RB Leipzig from Leganes in the summer and has already featured in 36 matches across all competitions. He recorded 13 goals and 10 assists during that period.

His ball‑carrying metrics rank among the best in the Bundesliga. The Ivory Coast international also converts those carries into goal contributions.

Diomande is currently representing Ivory Coast at the FIFA World Cup on Saturday. He has delivered two successive eye‑catching performances for his national side.

RB Leipzig have set Diomande’s price at over €120 million, reflecting his potential. His contract runs until 2030 and includes a €2 million‑per‑year salary that could be increased.

The club recently completed a managerial transition, with Ole Werner departing and Martin Demichelis taking over as head coach. The change clears the way for Diomande’s future to re‑enter transfer discussions.

Paris Saint‑Germain, the reigning Champions League winners, have been in talks with Diomande’s representatives at Roc Nation for several weeks. The French side is expected to formalise its interest with a concrete offer.

Leipzig remain relaxed about the situation and have not inserted a release clause into Diomande’s long‑term deal. They continue negotiations for an improved contract that would raise his earnings.
