Real Madrid chase Enzo Fernandez, Bouaddi for midfield

Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid have outlined a focused midfield rebuild for the upcoming season, centring the plan on England international Jude Bellingham. The club has already reinforced the defence but sees the midfield as the next priority. Mourinho has strengthened the back line within weeks, addressing the defensive frailties that plagued the side last campaign. The midfield, described as the team's Achilles Heel, now sits at the top of the transfer agenda. Jude Bellingham will remain the pivotal figure around which the midfield is constructed, according to the Spanish outlet. Federico Valverde is also set to stay and play a key role in Mourinho's dynamics. One of the two French midfielders, Aurelien Tchouameni or Eduardo Camavinga, will be sold this summer, with indications pointing more strongly toward Camavinga's departure. Real Madrid have identified three potential signings, the first being Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea, though the English club's high fee is a limiting factor. The Spanish giants are admirers of Fernandez and consider him a top option. World Cup sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi is the second target, with Real Madrid sending a delegation to observe his recent World Cup performance. The final candidate is Mateus Fernandez, who enjoyed a strong season with West Ham and now commands a €90 million fee. Tottenham Hotspur have moved quickly to secure his signing, prompting Real Madrid to act fast.
