Real Madrid, Como negotiate Nico Paz future amid €60m sale talk
Real Madrid and Italian side Como will meet in Madrid this Thursday to decide the future of 21‑year‑old Argentine midfielder Nico Paz, with the Spanish giants reportedly prepared to sell the player for €60 million after he told them he does not wish to return.
Nico Paz is currently away on World Cup duty with Argentina. Como are keen to finalise his future but cannot afford a €60 million fee. The club aims to keep him either on loan for another year or by renegotiating the agreement around his rights.
Como fear Real Madrid could recall Paz only to sell him to a rival. Inter Milan have long admired Paz and are ready to move should he become available.

Real Madrid had initially planned to exercise a €9 million buy‑back option. The move was intended for Jose Mourinho’s squad rebuild. Paz enjoyed an excellent season at Como, which culminated in Champions League qualification. He wants to remain in Italy and test himself in Europe’s premier club competition. Representatives from Como will travel to Madrid Thursday for the meeting. The talks aim to find a resolution over Paz’s future.
